Hearing Tests

Hearing Testing and Evaluations

Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.

A diagnostic audiologic evaluation determines the severity and type of hearing loss. It is usually recommended when you fail an initial hearing screening. The results of the evaluation are key in helping an audiologist find the best path forward for treatment. During the evaluation, tests are run on the inner, middle and outer ears.

Getting a new hearing aid requires several steps to meet the specific needs of the wearer. Every model has its own benefits, and it is important to find the device that you’re most comfortable with. An audiologist will be present to answer questions about features, fit, style and price. After a choice is made, ear impressions are done to ensure the perfect custom fit.
